Presentation and Packaging
We send our chocolates out in metal tins. They’re gorgeous and simple with ‘chocolala’ embossed onto the lid. We think they’re lovely… elegant, stylish, and with a significant oooooh factor. In fact, we’ve spent ages cooing over how great they look and how we want to touch them, and stroke them, and just hold them in our hands… oops. That’s probably over-sharing. Best move on…
Our regular tin is 14cm x 10cm x 3cm high. The dimensions make it sound quite modest, but don’t be fooled. It may look small on the outside, but we’re done away with all the unnecessary packaging… our tins are not full of plastic and air, but laden with chocolates. In fact, the regular tin holds a minimum of 270g, an astonishing amount of chocolates in what appears to be a small space. We like to think that it’s the chocolate equivalent of a tardis… much bigger on the inside! When you receive one of our tins is has a rather pleasing weight to it, and on opening it’s like discovering a treasure chest, crammed full of gorgeousness.
You can buy the regular tin online. For special or bespoke orders we also have 2 smaller tins: the ‘dinky’ which holds about 50g and is very pleasing (we use this as our sample tin) or the ‘tiddler’ which holds 2 chocolates and is seriously cute. They’re both perfect for a whole range of scenarios and occasions, including wedding or party favours. Contact us for more information on larger or bespoke orders.
On the practical side of things, when sending them out to you, we put each tin into a simple (no frills but still rather stylish!) card box. These are designed to hold them snugly and protect them in the post. The final package is no more than 3.5 cm high and should fit through most letterboxes.
Finally, enjoy your hedonistic pleasures, but have a bit of an eco-head too. Everything we send you can be either eaten, re-used, recycled or composted. Please think of the environment and try not to send any of it to landfill.
You can find out more about how and why we’ve chosen the packaging we have… or if you want your very own tin to fondle, you can go straight to our online shop.
