fairly traded chocs for mums… and dads!

Given it’s father’s/fathers’/fathers day tomorrow (see previous blog!) I thought I’d tell you what we did on… err… Mothering Sunday.
Apparently, Mothering Sunday comes from when those in service to the great and the good (well, the rich) were given a holiday on the middle Sunday in Lent to go home and attend their ‘mother church’… and I s’pose they got to visit their mums as well.
Anyway, we just tinkered with our regular tin and came up with this…

If your e-mails are anything to go by, plenty of mums (and at least one dad that I know of*) were in lala heaven.
*I did send some of our chocs to my mother. Addressed to her, of course. I discovered that my dad had opened the package and eaten several of the chocolates before my mum even knew they had arrived. When I challenged him on this he explained that after more than 50 years of marriage what came to either one of them, came to them both. I was outraged. My mum just laughed.
